All Ages Eco-Art Poetry Zine-Making
This Eco-Art Poetry Zine Making Curriculum is open to all ages.
Class meets 4x for the total of 1 month:
We will meet every Thursday beginning June 5th, June 12th, June 19th and June 26th @ 5:30p to 6:30p.
Location: Virgil Village at Home Studio
Together we will explore various poetry topics for inspiration in relation to Art and Ecology (the study of the Earth and our Environment). We will focus on writing poetry as a free-hand exercise, using words and simple images to induce trans-meditative states, employing creative writing as a metaphysical act, engage in a cognitive association writing project and deepen the relationship to writing as a form of Art facilitating connection to Earth and source energy.
Last class session culminates w/ public group poetry reading and experimental performance. All students take home their personal made Eco-Art Zine and one Group Eco-Art Zine. No experience necessary. All skill-sets welcomed!
